Europe ’22

Well y’all, I’m excited to announce that it’s time to get back on the road for me. After waiting 2 1/2 years for my return tour to Europe due to COVID-19, I’m finally ready to set out again to get to the countries I missed on my 6 month tour in 2019. The plan this year is tour through Germany, Austria, Slovenia, Hungary, Slovakia, Poland, Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, and Czech Republic over the course of the next 3 months. Some of these countries I have already visited but I’ll be exploring new cities and towns. Some I haven’t been to at all.

I have my bags packed and ready to go and, if all goes to plan, in about 24 hours I’ll be arriving in Breitengüßbach, Germany to see my in-laws, Klaus and Inge, and get settled in for a couple of days before playing my first two gigs this weekend and then setting out on the road for Slovenia on Sunday. I’ll be traveling with 3 weeks of clothes, a guitar, a battery powered amp, a microphone, a mic stand and not much else.

I’ve got to give a big shout out to my wife Anna-Maria for letting me loose for 3 months to do this trip – she really is the best. I’ll be looking forward to her coming over for two weeks in July to hang out with me, but she is going to be holding down the fort for the rest of the time I’m gone. Luckily, we just had the opportunity to hang out together for two weeks in Alaska and had an amazing time seeing that beautiful place and spending a lot of time together!

I am much looking forward to busking and playing what gigs I’m able to pick up along the way. I have two gigs in Germany and one in Ljubljana, Slovenia already set up and will plan to book more as I go. The goal is to keep my schedule as open as possible for flexibility, as I can always fall back on busking if I’m not able to secure a bar gig. I feel I get more exposure and almost always make more money on the street than in European bars anyways.

Here’s a link to all my original music in case you have yet to find it somewhere else. It is available on all the major streaming services under the artist name “Zeb Big Job South”.

I plan to update the blog on about a weekly basis I hope you will keep up with me and check out the tunes while I’m gone. I’ll miss the band and crew back in Lexington, but I’ll be looking forward to the gigs we already have set up in September when I return. In the meantime, Sam and the boys will be doing a few gigs in my absence – which I intend to let everyone know about through our band page on Facebook. You can follow the band page at the link below:

I’m looking forward to undertaking this long awaited adventure and spreading my tunes to some new, foreign ears. If it goes even half as good as my 2019 tour, it will be an amazing experience!

Y’all take care for now and I’ll holler back from the other side of the pond. Be sure to subscribe to the blog and get an email when I post a new update!
