City tour of Ljubliana and Anna Maria’s last day

Today the 4 of us took a free walking tour of downtown Ljubliana and learned a lot about the history of the city. Last night and this morning we were pretty much rained out, but this afternoon the sun came back, so we got lucky on the weather. As we speak, we are kicking back by the river drinking the local beer called Lasko and enjoying the catching up and people watching.

Headed out to the city tour. 4 in the fiesta is a hell of a tight squeeze!

I think tonight we will go to the football bar here in town to watch a couple of matches and have some more beers. Unfortunately, Anna Maria leaves in the morning on the train for Germany to spend a week at home and go to a wedding of her friend from high school before heading back to Kentucky and back to work. We are both sad she’s leaving, but she will be coming back to Europe in September for another week with me, so we are already looking forward to that.

Harry, Sam, and I will be heading to Lake Bled/Lake Bohinj tomorrow and will be coming back to Ljubliana on Wednesday for Harry to leave back to Germany on Thursday morning. Then Sam and I will be going to Croatia on Thursday to see Plitvice national park and Zagreb before heading back to Ljubliana for him to take the train home to Germany on Sunday. Then I’m on my own for 6 weeks!

Talk to you guys again in the next couple days!
