Playing the waiting game in Toronto

I’m at my last stop before Europe! Thanks to Condor airlines changing my flight twice from what I originally booked, I have an 8 hour layover in Toronto and had to get up at 6am to get my flight here from Boston – just to sit for 8 hours. Mostly was aggravated about that because it meant I had to curtail the festivities last night with Dillard and Emma, so I wouldn’t miss my flight and wouldn’t be totally dead today. I’m still dead today, but I didn’t miss my flight in Boston so I do have that going for me. Hoping to tough it out and get some sleep on the plane tonight since it lands in Germany at 09:50am. Hoping that will minimize the jet lag if I can sleep and then wake up in the Germany morning.

It was a nice little visit in Boston though, I was able to figure out the bus and train system on the fly and saved myself $30 in Uber getting to Dillard and Emma’s and I was pretty doggone proud of myself for that. We went out for my first taste of Venezuelan food which was surprisingly pretty good. After that Dillard and I had a nightcap at his local tavern and then shut it down. Hope to get back there with the wife sometime this winter and see them as a couple for a more proper visit.

Using the commuter train like a true Bostonian. I made it with about 2 minutes to spare, but paid $6.25 instead of $35 for an Uber.

I know I already said it, but next update shall be from the other side of the pond!
